A sad ending to a sad tale.... The Article is about the main factory comples on Carneige Ave, The Observatory is on Taylor Road. When I worked there in the early 70's W / S employed about 2500 people. Then came the 80's.... Here is a video tour of part of the factory "remains".... No one would have thought that the Test Floor would be used to sort Trash for recycling.... or that this proud business would decay fo fast and so completely.
