At the 14th Annual W&S Reunion Oct. 9th at Dimitri's.

We had a fine selection of door prizes, thanks to Eleanor Webber. Bob Lucas and Al Webber did an excellent job with the announcement mailing, registration and the Memorabilia Table (Fascinating Stuff!), Bill McNamara and Tom Mahaffy were able to get the DVD projector perking well for a movie on Haas Automation (a 100% U.S. outfit in California that will build 10,000 CNC lathes, machining centers this year, and more next year!)

And finally, Craig Smith related the great strength of Warner & Swasey during a period in l953-54 when we lost almost all of our top management people, but were able to immediately fill these slots with fully-qualified executives from wition our own organization with only one exception, Dr. Jim Hodge, who fit in perfectly.

Craig also spoke on the innovative manner in which we were able to penetrate the European and Asian markets by establishing partnerships with local concerns that resulted in much business for our U.S. plants, which did and will result in more jobs here in America.

It's indeed most rewarding to be part of the W&S Alumni! Hope to see you all again next year!
