Remember "Lenny", Planermill Operator in Dept 32 ? He used to make hats from newspapers and wear them at work. He also new where to lay a babitt hammer on the AC columns to eliminate chatter during the finish cut cycle. Try to get by him in passing without talking to him, he was a nice guy and a hard worker.

Ken,
The thread from your Planermill was picked up and we go back to the Main Plant.
Jencic ran the newer Ingersoll Planermill and he was recognizable by his coveralls and railroad cap.
The older G A Gray mill was run by Wally who was distinguishable by his ears packed full of cotton because they liked to bleed.
Bill Weigand was in the dep't then running a stubby open side planer machining ways on ram types.
Ken Wilkerson was running a shaper, later going to Purchasing.
Ass't Foremen were Ron Schultz (later Advertising) and Harry Myers.
John Grill (he lived to 102) was foreman of Planer Dep't at that time and John's son Bob finished his apprenticeship and went to New England in Field Service.
Ed Goodell was also a foreman there , his son Larry also "served his time". Ed was sup't at Gallmeter & Livingston later on.
Ken, your planermill thread really takes us places!
