Can anyone help? Spindle brake has stopped working
is there an adjustment

I'm going to assume you're refering to an old round head machine, say a M-1420. If this is the case my book says there is no adjustment, the break is controled by 30-35PSI oil pressure from the oil pump. If you have oil presure to the break then the next thing I can think of would be to replace the linning. The book gives a procedure for that but it also says that the lining has to be of the propor type, and I'm not sure where to look for it or even what type it is as they don't specifiy.

Hopefully this will help, I don't know a whole lot about these machines but I do havethe srvice manual for mine here.
