Thoughts on putting "Tractor Fluid" in the hydraulic fluid tank.
Rural King , Tractor Supply , Farm and Home stores all sell 5 gallon cans of what the call "Tractor Fluid " for something like $22 a can.
I am seriously entertaining the idea of trying this stuff in the oil tank my W&S #3 sq head .... any thoughts ?
Thanks

Wouldn’t hurt, most use AW32 in those systems (which is avail at tractor stores)

My automatic (and I think your manual turret lathe) require "dextron 2" right there in the manual.
I called up TSC lube line, and was told the "premium" tractor fluid did meet the spec, and did not have any of the extreme pressure additives that destroy light metal bearings.
YMMV
