    Default Warner swasey #1 for sale - Mid Michigan

    Don't see these very often lately. $500 seems fair...I would like to have it but no room and don'r need it..
    Yes don't see any tooling.
    Warner and Swasey turret lathe

    Bared bones machine he might take offers...
    Haven't looked at it just spotted on craigslist.

    That thing is cool ! Like an antique DV-59, kinda. Not sure about the $500 figure tho. Not sure how useful it would be to the average guy, either.

    likely an offer would take it.. very fast operation, feed stock out to a stop, drill a few whatevers, bevel the edge.. even turn an OD step,pull back for cut off...very high production for the right part..

    Yes it is not a one-up or few-up machine..

    Yes it is not a one-up or few-up machine..
    Not if it's worn completely out, and where is the clutches and brakes for start
    stop and reverse ? Can't do any tapping ?

    This one definitely was pre WW2 and maybe pre WW1, so the odometer
    just might have rolled over a couple of times.

    That's the cool thing about it. I'd probably paint it and put it in the front office.

    Looks like a partoff thingy on the cross slide ? You could use it for making spacers ... and leave it in the front office

    Have run larger Swaseys and Gisholts but never even seen a #1.

    Yes looks like double tool holder for push pull
    NM 1990 .. Lot #10 .. serial # 595421
