I was looking through a manual on the 1AC and noticed it was for Model 3900 and mine is a model 3030. I couldn't see any difference between the manuals. What is the difference between the machines? Thanks. By the way Bill Gent, I will call you as soon as time allows. I run a lot and here in the country, my cell phone doesn't always work.

Hello Rowdy, Read your post on the General Forum. You do have two different designs. The 3900 will offer more features. Check the speed and feed dogs for both machines to make sure each machine will use the same dogs. Also the chucker will have some different switched to operate for the same function. One important one is:

On the bar machine the yellow Rapid Traverse Reverse Button will(IN AUTO-Cycle) will rapid out from work and stop spindle.

On the 3900 Machine (IN AUTO-Cycle) you have to switch to from hand to auto, and press the Rapid
Traverse Reverse Button to complete the same function.

The 3900 Machine may not have a two speed motor
,spindle stop on turret return and a few other little differences.

This thread compares the 3900 Chucker to a later designed Chucker. The bar machine has many differences related only to bar machines. I you had OAC/OAB's I could help you more being I currently run several of them.
