Any one have any advice about bandsaw mills?

How long is string?

Gonna depend on your budget and usage.

Woodmizer fully loaded with all power everything is a great mill for someone doing the daily grind on one, but a bit rich for just doing the occasional log for own use...

FWIW, I bought a Woodland Mills HM-126, as it seemed to present the best balance of capacity, capability and price point, for MY needs. I bought one with a 9 1/2HP motor on it, as that was what they had in stock at the time. It'll do.

Woodmizer are a customer of mine. That makes them tops in my book!

They've always been a stand-up company to me, and usually companies treat their customers better than their suppliers.

How big are your biggest logs going to be? I belive most, if not all, mills that can handle old growth redwood are gone or downsized. They are just not cutting 15' diameter logs anymore.

PS: I assume for wood cutting not metal
