Current load on Martin Machines

I am wiring some Martin machines (fed by a Phase Perfect 355).
The rated current on each machine according to Martin is much higher than it should be based on the Kw. A Martin rep said it was because of a European rule having to do with the onboard inverter, but couldn’t give a detailed answer.
If I can’t get an answer I will wire them for the higher current, but I am curious why there is such a discrepancy.

Basically, it has to be the highest value the machine could ever pull. its on a par with the 5hp vacuum cleaners.

Think basically every thing in the machine happening at once all at max power. Hence you get a crazy number you never ever see in reality on typical multi axis machines. Add in surges like VFD's all charging there DC buses and the values become damn near stupid compared to what you really see for more than fractions of a second on turn on and even then most things don't all power up instantly hence even thats not likely.

The age old current peaks and time spans were a far better way to go than what they have changed it into.
