Hi all, I just purchased a new starter from Grizzly for my 20 yr old unisaw. I am decent with electronics, but I lack some fundamentals. My unisaw is a single phase 220V 3hp. The cord has a Black white and green wire. I do understand that both of the wires are 110V and the green is ground. My new grizzly starter uses red and black for the incoming and outgoing wires. I wanted to understand if there was any difference with the two wires from the plug and if it matters where it goes ie. if grizzly manual says red goes here and black goes there, Does it matter if I reverse that from the plugs perspective as they are both 110V assume. Thanks

I'm not an electrician, but I think that you are correct that you can wire the 110v wires either way. I've done it for many years that way.
