Default Where did you buy your Japanese bench chisels?

Recently looked at Japanese Tools for the Shop, Kitchen & Home for chisels. The sets range from around $250 to $1600 and there is one at around $4000. The sets are 8 and 10. There are also singles for around $30-$40.

If you like to practice sharpening then get a Buck Brothers set of four chisels. They are not too bad but I'm thinking of getting some good chisels now.

    Experiences and places to buy?

I purchased mine from this place and have no regrets. I use them regularly. They seemed like conscientious folks who cared about what they were selling. I’ve had mine for something like 30 years though! I probably bought one of their more affordable sets. They’re laminated, but not folded.

I have been in the Alameda store. Got some Bester ceramic sharpening stones.
