I posted this on OWWM but thought I would ask here as well. I'm helping a family sell some tools, ( I posted about that a few months ago), and a Delta wood lathe has had its tailstock quill altered. A piece of angle has been welded to the face of the quill. I'm not much of a woodworker, why would someone do that and is it a plus for a buyer? Should I just machine the angle off and get back to the Morse taper?
As always, thanks.
