How to Hand Program a Bushing on a CNC Lathe - PART 7 Bush Program Finale
In the final part of the bush programming series, Marc from G-Code Tutor looks at ways we can speed up the bush program we have written for mass production.
The first speed-up technique Marc talks about is to use a U drill instead of a center drill and peck drill cycle. By using U drills we can even remove the rough bore operations when machining our part.
Next, Marc talks about using Variables if we have a family of similar parts. This can speed up the programming process by reusing the same program with variables in place of dimensions.
Finally, Marc looks at using a sub-program instead of subroutines so we can reuse the profile of our part in other programs.
