Just because you CAN machine the part, doesn’t mean you should. It happens to the best of us: someone asks if you can machine a part and you say yes, before walking through what it truly entails.
Derrick Hogan, from North Georgia Technical College, is going to take us through a time when that happened to him. When asked to machine a cast brake lever, it wasn’t until relatively deep into the project that he realized he should have turned down the request.
