are these blanks anything usefull? similar to w-20. they are soft. not sure what to do with them. i dont have a shaublin but i do have machines using w-20 where they should somehow fit. but what are they really for?

yes it is w-20. i put it there for comparison.

expanders? they are cylindrical. what do i do with them? i got them as mandrels i would use as stock to make stuff from, but im having second thoughts.

so i found them in the endless schublin catalogue. the say hardenable. i sliced off a piece and flame hardened it. its something like hard spring temper, not bad, no anealing needed. ill keep them as hardenable stock.

no drawbar. j.c., if you have any use for them you can have a couple.

I'd call those blank/emergency fixture collets. You could make an expanding collet out of them, but typically you mill out a recess for a non-round part and arrange some form of clamping other than the usual collet closing.
