D1-3 Collet Adaptors unusual

These adaptors look like Monarch 5C but the taper is on the inside. It looks like the collet pushes against the adaptor instead of pulling back to close. A 5C collet will not fit this unit. What does this go to and what size collets does it take?

Thanks
Cory

Kind of interesting as the D1-3 end looks really standard for the 5C with the keyway pin and all.

There are push collets, they were more common in screw machines and turret applications so far as I could tell. If you could figure out the taper and max diameter you might figure out what collet it wants but I'm not sure how you'd go about working up the push mechanism.

I agree, they look like part of some sort of "dead length" collet system (eliminates stock pull back on bar feed machines). Not sure what collet they would use.
