Seeking feedback on Business Brokers and selling a business

Has anyone here used a business broker to sell their business? It seems I get at least 4 or 5 letters / email from brokers on a monthly basis and I've been kicking the idea of retiring.

Before reaching out to one of them, I was wondering if anyone here has recommendations, advise or pointers...or whom are the shysters to stay away from.

The best thing to do is contact several until you have 3-4 who you feel comfortable with. Then ask them for references for past sales. Call those sellers and ask what they liked and did not like about how their sale was handled.
