    Phase Perfect for multiple machines

Lott I honestly don't remember why the two pass thru legs. Maybe just out of sense of caution and because "I could". I do remember trying to wire a 120v outlet. Could not do this as the 3 legs did not reference to ground/Common. QPblades 50amp - VF0E 30 amp - TM-1 20 amp - Compressor 20 amp -...

    Phase Perfect for multiple machines

I installed a PhasePerfect 30 hp digital phase converter in 2004. I feed it from a 200amp main panel with a 100 amp single phase breaker. The PP feeds a 3 phase panel. Everything is wired conventionally from this panel. It has been running: 5 HP 3phase Air compressor and Haas VF0E daily for...

    keensert pricing

Thanks Unfortunately this customer won't budge. I have https://time-serts.com/ bookmarked as well as https://fredsert.com/ which I read about in another thread here. I have been doing this 40+ years and never heard of either of those. This forum is a wealth of info. Thanks again!!

    Horizontal Tapping Head

Can a Procunier Tapping head be operated in a horizontal spindle? Looking to set it up in a lathe spindle and move the (10 foot long) part in and out by hand. I would build a box fixture around the part to keep it from torquing out of my hands. Any down sides to this idea? John

    HAAS handwheel movement

FWIW, It's not new. I have a 2004 TM-1 and it "accumulates" pulses, even on the .010 setting. Can be hairy if you are in a hurry to pickup a tool length.

    Buying a 2004 TM1, seeking advice

Jon, I have not been very happy with machinihg steel in my TM-1. Of course I am comparing it to a VF0E. It isn't as rigid of a machine as I had hoped for when I bought it. Also, the coolant guards are less than ideal. Plan on a messy floor. Is this machine from KD-C? I will send you a PM with...

    Buying a 2004 TM1, seeking advice

It should fit OK if you remove the flex-conduit and braking resistor. Pick it up sideways with a pallet jack and screw the levelers all the way up. I have a TM-1 and a VF0E in my garage. (8' door). The VF0E was Snug getting in and the head misses the I-beam by 3/4".:) Nothing better than a...

Does a "permanent magnetic chuck "wear out"?

If one were to leave a permanent magnetic chuck in the "on" position for extended periods of time, will it eventually lose some of its holding power? If this is a non-issue: follow-up question: If I leave the chuck turn "on" with screwdrivers and allen wrenches on it, will they get...

    Machining Hardcoat Anodize ??

I have 4 parts made from 7075 aluminum. One surface was supposed to be masked from hardcoat anodize. Didn't happen:angry:. Anyway the fix at this point is to flycut clean this surface. (dimension not critical- at all). The only thing critical is all 4 have to be the same size. What is the best...
