I have a couple Haas mills and really like them and yes I do know there down sides but also know there upsides.
I am mostly a mill shop but need to do some turning , mostly under 1" Dia and up to 7" long , so the Small Haas lathes fit my part size good . In the past I have had lathes with Fanuc controls and would like to stay away from them.
So one question I have is how are the "new" Haas bar feeders working out? I need to do 2 or 3 pushes per part to a hard stop and part length is +/- .010 so it should hold that with a dead length collet chuck.
How is the interface for the bar feeder? easy to use?
