OT - Marine searchlight help

Hello

Hope this topic is OK here.

I have this search light from an old 65' boat. The boat is long gone. The glass is about 8.3" dia.

Made by: The Kilborn-Sauer Co. Model 1939 32 volt. The bulb socket is a bayonet lug type.

Would it even be possible to find a proper bulb for this thing ?

Or maybe a modern equivalent in 12 or 24 volt ?

It might be fun to see what this thing can do !

You might find a movie projector bulb to fit. Possible railway equipment might work.

Those bulbs are common. No reason to modernize. If you can't find them, you are looking in the wrong places.

Probably uses a bulb similar to a model t or model A 6 volt headlight bulb. Model T headlight bulbs are 32 candle power. go to modeltford.com which is Langs Old Car parts. they have an online catalog and you can order a headlight bulb from their website to try.
