I got this in an auction lot-it looks like some kind of toolholder, but I've been unable to figure out exactly what it is.

Anyone recognize it?

I'v got Schaublin tool blocks that look like that. The knurled knobs are to move tapered wedges to adjust tool height. Could be shop made seeing it has no makers name on it.

It is a South Bend front tool post for a double tool cross slide. Without dimensions, I can not determine which size machine it fits.
As SIP6A said, the tapered wedges are missing.

Thanks, Guys!

The overall height of the toolpost is 2-3/4". The top of the slot is at 2"

The post is 2" square. Can you tell from that which models it fits?

And thanks for mentioning the wedges-I have them, but I didn't realize they were for this toolpost.

That would fit the double tool cross slide on the 9” and the Heavy 10, not the 10K.
