I am not sure if this really is the best place for this link but I cant think of which other subforum would be best for it. I stumbled upon the website for Lucas Precision and among the technical assistance page there area large number of useful references. Now these are intended for Lucas HBMs but some of the information could be useful to other similar machines and some general information.

In the Misc tab there are a number of interesting articles including the use of a cylinder square, even if it is not perfectly true. Also there are sections which cover machine foundation and mounting, storage and gibs and gib lubrication. I have not had time to review all the information available but I did save this page in my bookmarks.
Please feel free to review this and let us know what you think of the information provided. There have been several discussions recently about some of these subjects and this might provide useful reference for some.
