For sale is my dad's first milling machine, a WWII-era Pratt & Whitney model 3C. He has owned this for between 40 and 50 years.

It includes a right angle head (but missing head clamps), an almost complete set of collets by 32nd, some arbors, overarm, motor, drum switch and a pile of cutters.

Original overarm and original main spindle drawbar
Original 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" arbors. Additional shop-made 7/8" arbor. The only size missing is 5/8" (there was never a 3/4" or 1" arbor from the factory).
Set of original 4PN collets, full set by 32nd's from 1/16 to 11/16, missing 21/32, 7/32 and 13/32. I can include an extra odd-size you can grind out to 3/4" if you need one.
Original right angle vertical milling head with original 4PN drawbar, plus a drawbar and adapter for 3C. Missing head clamps, but I can supply photos and dimensions. Note that the head is not pictured, but I have it.
Knee crank handle
A half dozen t-nuts that fit the table slot.
Drum switch (not the original).

Motor / pulleys under the bench (Not the original P&W motor and speedranger). 110 volt and it is single-phase.

Note the bench is built into the wall and the rest of the bench next to it and is NOT included.

I have a speedranger with a 1/2 hp single-speed 3-phase motor for sale separately, if you are interested. The motor is partially rebuilt and disassembled. I have not yet run it. You may be able to mount a different motor on it. It includes the bench-top speed control / speed indicator and connecting cable.

An assortment of end mills and cutters will be included (LOTS of end mills).

The dividing head sitting on the machine not included (it has already been sold)

There is a 4" South Bend shaper vice available ($200 if you buy it with the mill, $300 without), but not included. A Kurt vice without a swivel does not work well on this mill (even a 3" Kurt), but the South Bend is a 4" vise fits well on the table. A 3" Kurt with a swivel might work.

This is small enough to fit in the trunk of your car. The bare mill weighs 180 lbs and can be carried up or down the stairs by one person.

Price: $1,500 or best offer for the mill and the tooling and accessories noted as included

Pickup in Southwestern Connecticut.

The Pratt & Whitney mill is still available.

Will include the South Bend shaper vise with the mill for the $1,500 (or best offer). It is the best vise that will fit the mill - it's 4" wide, fits the table and swivels. Most 3" vises don't work on this mill and the original vise is about 2-1/2" wide and I think less than an inch tall.

The cutters that will be included are half of my dad's supply of cutters, which fills a drawer about four feet wide and two feet deep.

Have many other machines, measuring tools, and other stuff for sale.

Will also include 50lbs of metal stock to get you started - your choice of aluminum, brass, steel and / or stainless.
