fanuc controller thinks i have 12 tools not 10

fanuc oi-tb on kia lathe, wrong tool position

hey guys, happy friday! i hope some of you have a weekend off

im having an issue on my kia lathe, with a fanuc controller.
the turret is 2 positions off, if i call 1 it goes to 3, 3 to 5, and so on..

anyone know where to fix this?

Post the specific model of controller if you actually expect any useful help.

There's a keeper relay to determine what the tool capacity is, on many lathes. Check the book in the back cabinet.

Is the " #1 " marked specifically on the turret top plate, or on a sub plate that can simply be taken off and put back on where it should be?

Is there a homing routine for the turret?
Or is it newer than that?

If you have a later model controller, you likely need to adjust param 4077 line 2 until it homes where you want it to.
BUT you will likely need to make it mis-index before it will look at that param.
And if that's the case - tell it to index 5 positions and while it's spinning, hit e-stop.

Then it will look at that param when "homing" the turret.
