Monarch 20"M weight?

Any one have an idea what a Monarch 20"M lathe might weigh? It is a factory 28.5" swing by 72" centers.

Looked at it today and I'm guesstimating about 12,000 lbs. How far off am I?

Had one but never weighed it. Hefty. I'd say you are close. Have new old stock half nuts if needed

Thanks John. I'll keep that in mind. I was really looking for something with a longer bed but the price and location make this one a winner. It appears to be in great shape other than being dirty.

My guess was a bit off. I found some factory literature in another thread that shows the No. 45 G&L boring mill weighing 32,000 lbs!

Got the 28.5" Monarch home yesterday. It was every bit of 12k. 8k lb forklift and my 9k lb trailer winch double lined were definitely straining.
