Mia appreciated all of the prayers and condolences. It helped her to know that Jim was so well though of by so many that had never even met him.

Jim's service was planned by him, and was short, simple, and quite moving. My wife and I left feeling sad, but also relieved for Jim.

Thank you fellas for the thoughtful replies.

She knew she had a good man. Can't hide that. Others knew it, too.

Thank you, Luke, for closing the loop - confirming what sort of good man he was - when we at a greater distance knew so little of Jim from the few emails he still had the energy to create.

May we be as strong as to do as well as he managed to when our own time comes.

There is no doubt that Jim was a REAL man, and handled it all as such. I learned so much from just observing his attitude towards his situation. The strongest man I've ever known. What a blessing to have him as a close friend.
