Okuma Genos m560-v

I know this thread is a little old, but was hoping not to start a new one for one quick question. I was told by someone (who I hope simply doesn't know what he's talking about) that the M560 cannot use G code programs. I realize Okuma has always had a great conversational system, but hard for me to believe that you can't program off-line and download G code. Should be easy question for someone in the know.

You can absolutely use G-code. Even their version of the conversational code still outputs into G-code anyway.

I thought so, but it's been many moons since I've run or programmed an Okuma mill. Thanks for the quick response.

That person is an idiot.
All we run on our 560's is G code programs.
The conversational side of Okuma mills are.....lackluster to say the least. But the IGF conversational on Okuma lathes is excellent.
